Historic Spon Street Infants School

Spon Street School on site of Spon Gate Primary School, Spon End

This is what remains of Victorian Spon Street School.  This is the old infants school building and was constructed between 1903 and 1906 and has been closed since 1999.  Adjoining the site of this building used to be other buildings, including a 1869 'ragged school' with free education.  Tons of history attached to this site...!
