My Tree In November

iPhone to the rescue (again).

I am not going to tell you what I forgot
to put in my camera before departing for
Coombe Country Park on Sunday -
but I will say it wasn't the battery :).

So here we have my frequently photographed
tree on the left taken from a slightly different angle.
For more shots over the last 10 months,

Great picture with your phone! Hey, I have forgotten the very same thing in my camera on more than one occasion!

The tree has great form.

Oh I hear you Lauren, been there done that...more than once :)) I see your tree is not quite alone, just a little stand offish :)

Gorgeous countryside! I love the shape of the tree.

Ummm, I feel your pain. I now have an extra memory card that I carry with me. I have learned the hard way.

Frustrating when we forget the memory card. Your phone did capture very well, beautiful tree , lovely landscape.

The tree seems quite commanding!
I wonder how old it is.

what a lovely view!

Please consider yourself officially invited to participate this year's 5th Annual Gratitude (word) Quilt. Instructions (it is very simple) and a link that explains the origin of the word quilt can be found at the top of my blog. In past years there have been participants from every continent except Antarctica. If I’ve already invited you, I apologize... I am trying to reach as many people as possible, and sometimes forget whom I’ve already left this message for in a comment. My intention is most certainly NOT to spam you. I hope you'll join us, it is really amazing when all the words unfurl on November 27th, Thanksgiving Day in the United States.

Oh, yeah, that sinking feeling when we click the shutter button and . . . nothing. I am becoming a fan of my iPhone for photos. Some of them have been very good, as is your photo of this tree. Someone once said that the best camera is the one you have with you . . .

Interesting that it is still hanging on to its green leaves.

Beautiful tree and surrounding area. My iPhone has come to the rescue many, many times. It does a great job with landscapes in my opinion. :)

I did the same thing last weekend. Couldn't figure out why the camera would not come on when I had just charged the battery .... Oh, well, your phone did admirably!

I guess it would be easy to make a quip about "phoning it in" but this is not the case here. Wonderfully composed photo... regardless of the apparatus.

Thank goodness for the iphone as backup, eh?!
I console myself when that happens by reminding myself of the times I'd "taken" photos with no film in the camera! At least now you get a warning beforehand.

What can I say - I'm not completely alone forgetting the camera's SD card :). Hooray!

Thank you for leaving comments. Great to read!

No idea how old the tree is, Jane, or why it is still covered in leaves, Fun60. Odd weather I guess.

Grace - My old tree is 'exclusive', I guess :).

Great phone shot Lauren, your tree still looks almost summery.
